We are seeking a junior graphic/web designer to come and join our creative team. The successful candidate will join our company at an exciting period of rapid expansion, taking an active role within a small and friendly creative and production team, assuming real responsibilities from the start. You must have a passion for design and the desire to extend your abilities and knowledge on a daily basis. You will work with a number of experienced designers and have the opportunity to learn from them.
Job Description:
• Listen: Understand a brief and translate it into a detailed work schedule. Learn about design skills/techniques from your colleagues.
• Think: Research around the client(s) and project(s) to better your understanding. Develop a structured approach to tackling all projects of varying sizes and ask questions about the project before it is started. The ability to problem solve and identify design solutions is fundamental to the role.
• Create: Work closely with the rest of the design team, accounts team and Creative Director to deliver a well structured design with design notes which support your creations. You must design with client feedback and practicality/usability/scalability in mind.
Reports to: Creative Director / Head of Design
Key Criteria: • Knowledge and experience of Adobe Creative Suite (CS4/5) • A design portfolio which demonstrates your graphic design abilities • Some demonstrable web design experience • Basic print design understanding • Can communicate clearly and confidently • Keen attention to detail • Punctual and smartly dressed
Salary: • £13,500 p/a inc. 22 days holiday (pro rata).
