Birmingham Contemporary Art Forum Project Coordinator Fee: £9000 (based on 60 days @ £150 per day) + £500 expenses Period: November 2010 to October 2011 Breakdown: 2010 November and December 0.5-1 day per week / 6 days 2011 January to March 0.5-1 day per week / 10 days April to June 1-2 days per week / 14 days July to August 2-3 days per week / 17 days September (throughout festival) 8 days Sept to Oct (derig and evaluation) 5 days Total Days 60 days Job Description: To work alongside Birmingham Contemporary Art Forum to develop and deliver The Event in September 2011. You will take responsibility for the overall coordination of the festival, managing the project budget and supporting the contributing organisations as they deliver the individual programme elements. You will work cross-regionally and nationally to raise the profile of The Event, ensure effective partnership working, and contribute to the ongoing development of artist-led culture in Birmingham. Responsibilities of Project Co-ordinator; Work with all individuals and contributing organisations to ensure that all aspects of The Event are delivered to a high standard; Convene regular steering group meetings, to include feedback of minutes and information, with regard to development of The Event; Deal with routine enquiries and correspondence; Develop potential sponsorship opportunities in liaison with the Marketing Co-ordinator; Manage the project budget; Ensure effective administration of The Event, including co-ordination of final reports and project evaluation; Liaise with the marketing co-ordinator to ensure the smooth running of the launch event; Manage invigilation and payment to individuals. Who you will be responsible to; As Coordinator you will be responsible to Birmingham Contemporary Art Forum.
